Scottish Enterprise (SE) is Scotland’s main economic development agency. We help Scottish businesses to grow nationally and internationally, to become more efficient and innovative, and to access the services they need to grow and help the Scottish economy.

We’re seeking a motivated Team Leader to join the Scaling Services Team within Scottish Economic Development. Working with partners across Scotland, you’ll manage and deliver high profile projects and programmes – geared towards helping early stage, high growth potential academic spinout businesses in Scotland.

The difference you'll make

Leading a Scotland-wide team, you’ll manage and monitor performance of our High Growth Spinout Programme portfolio. A key focus will be to review our commercialisation system and consider ways to substantially increase the number of university start-ups/spinouts – and improve connections between academic expertise and businesses.

You’ll cultivate relationships with academic partners and other stakeholders to drive an ecosystem that creates a stronger pipeline of innovative, high growth companies aligned to Scotland’s major opportunities. This involves coordinating discussions between SE project management and university teams, commercial champions and external funders.
